Komentaryo sa 2 Mga Hari 4:21: Tze'enah Ure'enah

Tze'enah Ure'enah

“She took him and laid him on the bed, etc.” [4:21]. The mother took her dead child and laid it on the bed in Elisha’s room. She called her husband and said: give me a youth and a donkey. I will run to the prophet and return soon. She did not tell him that the child had died. Her husband said to the woman. Why are you going to him? It is not the Sabbath or the New Moon. That is to say, from here we learn that people would go to the rabbi or the prophet on the Sabbath and New Moon. The woman said to her husband, it is good. That is, she did not want to tell about the child and that is why she was going to the prophet.
